ZPJ Love Stories - Wynn & Brittany

When Wynn first got in touch it was evident how important it was that we he got this piece just right. I loved that I was able to help find the perfect green sapphire and while Wynn knew exactly what he wanted from the start, I had so much fun working with him to turn his vision into a piece that Brittany would love, and could wear forever.

"I contacted Zoë with a very specific design, and it was clear that Zoë had absolutely nailed the brief. The stone was the perfect shade of olive green, and I knew Brittany would absolutely love it once I saw the completed ring." - Wynn

"The first thing I noticed was the colour, it’s the perfect shade of green. I’ve always liked coloured stones but it’s hard to find earthier tones in natural gems. I couldn’t believe he managed to find one that so perfectly matched what I had in my head." - Brittany

Later, Brittany discovered just how much thought had gone into every detail...

"The ring is perfect, it’s exactly what I would have chosen for myself! Without me realising, Wynn had been making notes every time I saw a piece of jewellery I liked or mentioned a certain style of ring, for at least the last year! Knowing he took the time and effort to craft something that feels so ‘me’ is the most special feeling." - Brittany

"I proposed on the Greek island of Naxos at the start of our Europe holiday, which was such a beautiful location (and without the crowds of tourists which I was worried about). There was the potential for so many things to go wrong, and I was quite stressed, but everything fell into place in the moment and I’m so glad I organised a photographer to capture the memories as it was a bit of a blur!" - Wynn

"The location has to be the most memorable thing, I’ve wanted to go to Greece my whole life and to finally make it to Naxos and then have Wynn propose felt like a dream! The sun was setting in the sky and we stood on a cliff top overlooking sea and the ancient temple of Apollo - what could be more perfect?" - Brittany

"It was really nice to meet Zoë in her workshop (with baby in hand) and genuinely be part of the design process. Overall it was very easy, and it felt like Zoë could see the vision and brought the end product to life. I had previously been working with an Auckland based jeweller but had called it off as it felt like they were pushing their view onto me rather than actually collaborating. Zoë was completely different." - Wynn
