ZPJ Love Stories - Holly & Mark

I was so happy for Hammer (Mark) when he reached out and said he had proposed to Holly and she had said yes! He had used a placeholder ring and was looking to start the process of designing a ring. Holly and I designed the ring together and after a few different ideas back and forth she went for a stunning oval diamond set in platinum on an 18ct yellow gold band.

It was so lovely working with Holly, chatting online as she was in Christchurch, it all went seamlessly and I was so happy to receive such an appreciative message when it arrived.

We went on to design Holly’s wedding band using some stones she had from family rings, rubies and diamonds that fit around her engagement ring, another beauty that I was honoured to make!

"My wedding ring is a combination of diamonds and rubies which were passed down. It’s extremely special to have my mother’s eternity ring and grandmother's engagement ring redesigned and now worn every day. It was an awesome experience visiting Zoë in her studio and being a part of the design process." - Holly

We asked Holly to share with us some of her most memorable moments from the big wedding day...

"That’s a hard one - there’s too many. I guess once the formalities and vows were out the way it was awesome looking back towards the crowd and being like “wow - all our loved ones (minus a few, due to Covid restrictions) in one place”! It was a magical hot Central Otago day and we were on cloud nine for about a week afterwards." - Holly

"I absolutely adored being part of the design journey. Zoë went above and beyond to understand my vision before crafting it into reality. Her personable and authentic approach gave us great confidence and although we didn’t live in the same city she delivered each piece to us securely. I love looking down at my hand knowing that my rings are one of a kind. Zoë is so talented!" - Holly
