Bring on 2024!

Welcome to my first blog post!

I hope you all had a lovely break and are feeling refreshed and ready for 2024. I'm stoked to be back in the workshop — I have so many ideas I want to get started on and it's great to be back in the flow.

The New Year is the perfect time to plan ahead and write down any goals we plan to put into action. This year I’m excited to continue expanding my online collection with more ‘Ready to Wear’ pieces, alongside working on special bespoke rings. I will also be sharing more blog posts about what I'm up to here at the ZPJ workshop and give you a sneak peek into some of the love stories I've been lucky enough to be a part of (watch this space).

It’s been a while since I shared a bit about myself, so for anyone that’s new to the ZPJ community, here’s a bit of an update.

I’m Zoë, a Jewellery Designer & Maker based in Wellington, NZ and I spend any spare moment working on my little business, which I love. I’m a very happy mum to our one-year-old daughter Freddie (and our lively springer spaniel Tiggy)!

Most of my time is spent working on commissioned engagement and wedding rings. Whether I’m designing a custom new piece, bringing to life a client's idea, or redesigning existing jewellery, I love working directly with clients to make something unique just for them.

It is so special to know that these pieces are going to be worn and loved from the get go, and no doubt be passed down through generations.

When I design and make all ZPJ pieces, I assume they will be worn all the time. Using solid metals and durable stones means your jewellery will withstand your day-to-day adventures and be with you for life.

Diamonds and sapphires are the hardiest of stones, with diamonds being the sparkliest and sapphires coming in a whole range of different colours and shades. I want my jewellery to be timeless, elegant and easy to wear but with a little spark, like a fun coloured stone, or an alternative setting.

All ZPJ gemstones are from reputable sources that assure they are all conflict-free. I also like to use recycled metals wherever possible, to the extent that I even have any vacuum bags from the workshop melted down to be sure no metal dust particles go to waste!

I can’t wait for the year ahead, if you have any questions, design queries, or want to have a chat - please get in touch!
